Facebook continues to go from strength-to-strength, with second quarter financial results showing an increase in the number of daily active users and a significant jump in revenue.
Figures released for the quarter ending June 30th, the show world's most popular social network counted 829 million daily active users for June, a 19 per cent increase year-on-year. Monthly active users climbed by 14 per cent to 1.32 billion.
Mobile daily active users of the site jumped by 39 per cent compared to the same period 12 months earlier.
The website revealed that its revenue for the second quarter rocketed to $2.91 (£1.71) billion, marking an increase of 61 per cent.
Founder and chief executive officer Mark Zuckerberg said: "We had a good second quarter. Our community has continued to grow and we see a lot of opportunity ahead as we connect the rest of the world."
