Netflix has joined forces with renowned comic book company Marvel to launch four exclusive mini series on the video streaming site.
The shows will be available in 2015 and are set to feature some of the company's most popular characters, including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage.
Netflix has agreed to show four, thirteen-episode series, which will end in a mini-series event called The Defenders.
Alan Fine, president of Marvel Entertainment, commented: "This deal is unparalleled in its scope and size and reinforces our commitment to deliver Marvel's brand, content and characters across all platforms of storytelling."
Now owned by Disney, Marvel is the company behind iconic characters such as Spider-Man, X-Men, the Hulk and Iron Man. Its films are some of the most popular among Netflix users across the world.
Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said the deal will take the site's brand of television "to new levels".
