Property website Rightmove has launched a new service that will provide details on the broadband speeds available at the homes listed on its directory.
Internet access is now a key concern for people when moving house and the company will use data provided by Point Topic to make this information available.
The feature is being trialled initially and will become permanent if it proves popular with Rightmove customers.
Oliver Johnson, Point Topic chief executive, stated: "Broadband is becoming one of the most important considerations for prospective buyers. We hope that having quick and easy access to this data will be a huge benefit to Rightmove's users."
Rightmove will show the average download speed available at a particular property and the online activities that will be possible with this standard of connection, such as video or music streaming, social networking and online video phone calls.
Make your home more attractive to potential buyers by improving your broadband.
