Netflix has announced it will be giving all of its users the opportunity to stream films and TV programmes in super high definition (HD).
This will allow people who have subscribed to the popular service to watch videos in even higher quality, provided their broadband connection is fast enough.
Netflix had originally launched super HD in January, but it was only available to users accessing the site via an internet provider with a direct connection to the company. However, the service will now be available to everyone.
Streaming films and TV programmes online via companies such as Netflix is becoming increasingly popular. In August it was revealed the site was the fastest riser on the IMRG Hitwise Hot Shops List - which monitors web traffic to retail websites - and is now the 11th most visited site of this kind in the country.
Need a better connection to make the most of Netflix? Consider switching to satellite broadband.
