Switching ISP is confusing for nearly two-thirds of people header image

The majority of people think changing their internet service provider (ISP) is confusing, according to a new survey.

A poll by ISPreview found 62.3 per cent of Britons find moving to another broadband company difficult to understand.

In light of this, it is no surprise that 93 per cent claimed they support telecommunications watchdog Ofcom's plans to introduce a new system to simplify the switching process.

However, for many people this would only be the case if the service was free, as 50 per cent of people said they would not back the plans if it meant paying a small fee or temporarily increasing their broadband bill.

Only 26.6 per cent of respondents claimed they would still support the introduction of such a scheme if there was a financial cost involved.

If you're considering changing your ISP why not opt for satellite broadband? Here at Avonline we make the switching process as quick and easy to understand as possible.
